The Biology of Grief with Dr. Nicole E. Francis Cotton
On the opening day, Dr. Nicole takes you inside what grief does to the brain, the nervous system, hormones and the body, and why unprocessed loss can show up as exhaustion, sleeplessness, chest tightness and illness. She will explore how grief can be carried across generations, and how the brain and body can learn safety again. The aim is not to label your grief but to understand it, validate it and support whole-person healing.

Mr. Roy Cotton, Jr.
Transformation Specialist, motivational speaker and host of the internationally syndicated radio programme Love & Inspiration with Roy Cotton, Jr. Roy co-facilitates VLF's couples and marriage counselling alongside Dr. Nicole, and brings together media, mental health and community mobilisation to strengthen grief and wellbeing support across St. Maarten. Listeners, this is your chance to hear him in person.
